Hazel oil was formerly known as "avellino", from the name of the ancient city where the nut was traded. In the past, hazelnut oil was well known and used regularly.

It is important to remember that this is one of the best oils for massage. It combines well with other base oils and accepts essential oils just as well.

Hazelnut oil cares for the skin, does not cause comedones, and regenerates the skin. This is a good component of day creams.

For problematic skin, with acne or excessive oiliness, hazelnut oil is one of the first in care. It absorbs well and makes the skin feel like silk, without a sticky aftertaste.

Properties of hazelnut oil in cosmetics

Rejuvenating: the oil regenerates the skin's water-fat balance. Often used as part of massage mixtures for cellulite. Copes with fine wrinkles. Helps reduce postpartum stretch marks and various scars. Smoothes out the smallest wrinkles around the eyes and around the mouth, in the corners. Anti-inflammatory: hazelnut helps treat abscesses, ulcers, relieve redness, fight acne. Cleansing: perfectly tightens pores and adjusts proper sebum regulation. At the same time, it does not clog pores. Due to its non-comedogenicity, it is especially recommended for oily and problematic skin. Protective: protects against photoaging and other effects of sun exposure. SPF factor 3-4. It’s good to add protective products to beach cosmetics. Brightening: if you use hazelnut oil constantly, it will help tighten the skin well, and spider veins will be significantly reduced. The price of hazelnut oil is affordable. Try it in combination with CO2 chestnut extract. Cooperosis will decrease. Keep in mind that for a noticeable effect, constant use is required. The “case by case” method will not work. Strengthening: in hair masks and balms, walnut not only prevents hair loss, but also strengthens the structure as a whole.

Hazelnut oil is also used by soap makers. Typically in a small range of up to 10%. But, more often than not, hazelnuts become overfat.

The oil is unstable, so it is better to take a small percentage of the input. Use the finished product within 6 months.

Storage: in a cool place, in a dark, airtight container. After opening, the shelf life is up to six months.
