Laurel oil is a powerful antiseptic with very strong bactericidal properties. Included in the famous “Alleppe” soap.

It is made from “noble” laurel, which was known for its healing properties back in the era of Ancient Greece and Rome.

Laurel oil in cosmetology

Unrefined laurel oil performs several important functions:

All this has made laurel oil one of the most favorite ingredients of many cream makers.

Laurel is actively used to create balms and lipsticks, hydrophilic tiles for problem skin, strengthening hair masks, beldi and body creams.

Using up to 10% laurel in the oil phase, you can prepare creams for rheumatism, as well as ointments for inflammation and boils.

Properties of laurel oil in cosmetics

Today valuable laurel oil can be bought in Ukraine in almost all major online stores for making homemade cosmetics and soap.

Its cost is higher compared to other base oils. This is explained by its valuable properties and rich composition of nutrients.

All parts of the plant contain tannins, bitter substances, resins, as well as essential oil. Laurel contains calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc, potassium, copper, vitamins (C, PP, A).

The main cosmetic properties of unrefined laurel oil:

Application for face:

for a general tonic effect; to relieve skin irritation; care for oily skin with acne and inflammation; care products for damaged skin.

Surprisingly, bay laurel oil is confused with another oil - bay essential oil. These are different plants, with different properties, the only thing being similar spicy notes in the aroma.

That's why it's now so easy to buy bay oil and get bay oil instead. Read the label carefully before purchasing. By the way, bay oil, like bay oil, is great for hair.

Bay leaf oil is ideal for:

care for oily skin, in the fight against acne; treatment of skin diseases: eczema, psoriasis; fight dandruff, stimulate hair growth medicinal ointments for joint pain, creams for stretch marks, compresses for bruises.

Input percentage: 1-10%

1-3% product for dry, sensitive skin; 2-5% head and hair care; 3-5% hydrophilic tiles; 5-7% massage, strengthening of the nail plate, warming cream; up to 10% ointment for joint pain.

In soap making, the input percentage ranges from 5% to 40%. Some soap makers exceed the dosage.

It is believed that the higher the percentage of laurel, the more pronounced antibacterial properties the soap will have.

Traditional dosage ranges from 15% to 30%. With this amount of laurel, the soap will be acceptable for all skin types.

If you are engaged in soap making, we recommend that you definitely buy laurel oil and make soap with it. Let it not even be a classic “Alleppe” soap. Even with minimal input of laurel, the effect will be noticeable.

Storage: in a cool place, avoid direct sunlight.
