Avocado oil, unrefined

Unrefined avocado oil differs slightly in composition depending on the variety and place of cultivation. However, general properties are characteristic of any type.

Properties of avocado oil in cosmetology

Avocado oil is a caring base oil with a predominance of transport oleic fatty acid, which promotes deep penetration of the oil. Contains a significant amount of rare palmitoleic fatty acid, which is especially important for the care of aging skin.

Although it is greasy, it is absorbed quite quickly.

Has cosmetic properties:

Helps maintain hydrolipid balance: with constant use, the effect is felt. The skin restores elasticity and turgor returns. The oil can be used for massage. It takes essential oils well and combines well with other base oils. It is often combined with “stone” oils: peach, almond, apricot.

Protection: avocado works well on damaged skin prone to dermatitis and regular inflammation.

Recovery: active regeneration and increased collagen production thanks to avocado, promotes skin restoration. It tightens, the “texture” evens out. Nutrition: avocado restores the metabolic process and does not disturb lipid balance. Enriches the skin and saturates it with microelements. Anti-aging: Considered effective in combating age spots. Avocado is a good antioxidant. The oil helps protect the skin from premature age-related changes.

Uses of avocado oil for skin:

for all types, except oily skin; will moisturize dry skin well; fights age spots, smoothes wrinkles; mattifies the skin, improves complexion; used in the treatment of skin diseases; suitable for use in the area around the eyes; ideal oil for massage; protects against aggressive environmental influences; can be applied to the skin after sunbathing, as well as after water procedures; heals skin damage on the hands and body; strengthens nails, eyelashes and eyebrows.

Avocado oil for hair:

for dry hair, dull, lacking shine; good for caring for damaged, brittle, colored, split hair; stops hair loss, strengthens hair.

Input percentage: 10-15%

up to 10% face and body creams, hair care; up to 15% lip care;

Avocado is usually combined with other oils. Depending on the purpose, the oil can be diluted in different proportions from 1:10 or less for dry skin.

Its properties are similar to macadamia nut oil and mink oil.

Unrefined avocado oil makes a good superfat for your soap. Typically, the input percentage does not exceed 15%. It will add a velvety feel to the foam and improve conditioning.

Note: When exposed to sunlight, the oil turns brown.

Storage: in a cool and dark place. A precipitate appears (<16°C), which dissolves when the oil is heated.
