Water Soluble Almond Oil
Water-soluble almond oil has gained popularity since the times of Egyptian queens who used this substance to beauty their skin.
Oil characteristics:
Appearance at 25 degrees Celsius: transparent oily liquid
pH (5% solution): 7.94
Solubility: forms gel-like solutions in water
Saponification number: 43.44 mgKOH/g
Water (Karl Fischer): 0.28%
Acid number: 0.76 mgKOH/g
Cosmetic properties:
Almond nut oil has nutritional properties, contains vitamin E and is an antioxidant, stimulates the sebaceous glands and thereby improves the condition of oily skin. Oleic acid contained in almond oil is easily absorbed by the skin surface and has a rejuvenating, nourishing, healing effect.
Used for any skin type, relieves flaking, inflammation and irritation.
Cosmetics containing almond oil are used for:
- providing a calming effect when caring for inflamed skin areas;
- nutrition of dry, tired skin of the face and body, prone to inflammatory processes;
- moisturizing mature and dry facial skin;
- restoring the balance of oily skin;
- relief of eczema and dermatitis;
- healing of thermal burns and minor injuries;
- getting rid of stretch marks, rough areas of skin and preventing cellulite.
- treating dry and oily hair, as well as preventing hair loss.
Application methods:
It is used both in pure form and as an additive from 10-50%. It gives a very good effect during massage when added up to 10% to other oils and essential oils.
Storage: Store in a cool, dark place at room temperature or in the refrigerator. Cloudiness of the oil is possible; it can be eliminated by heating to +15C.
