Titanium dioxide micronized cosmetic
Titanium dioxide is one of the most common sun filters. This ingredient works in cosmetics as a physical sunscreen filter: it reflects and blocks UVA and UVB rays. Titanium dioxide in cosmetics performs a decorative function and acts as a pigment. In this form, it is used in the production of the following makeup cosmetics: in lipstick formulations it provides thickness and viscosity, in loose formulas it provides a brightening effect and a wide palette of shades. Titanium dioxide is a fairly mild and inert component, and therefore is considered an excellent option for creams for active use of sunscreens for sensitive skin or such diseases. Micronized titanium dioxide also has much greater stability and can provide better sun protection than larger titanium dioxide particles. Ground titanium dioxide does not penetrate the skin, so there is no need to worry about it getting into the bloodstream and internal organs.
The recommended concentration is 2-15% (6% concentration corresponds to an SPF of about 12-19).
It can be introduced both into the fatty and aqueous phases, and directly into a ready-made emulsion.
