Refined mango seed oil is a solid that can be white or beige or have a yellowish tint. The fruit, from the seeds of which it is made, is also called Indian mango, mangi-fera. In English it is known as Mango, in French as Manque, in German as Mangobaum, and in Hindi as am, amb and chuta. This plant belongs to the Anacardiaceae or Sumac family.

The mango tree reaches a height of up to thirty meters and does not lose green foliage all year round. It grows in India and southern Asia. Its leaves are narrow and pointed, have a dark green color, and the young foliage has a yellow or red color. Mango tree flowers also come in red or yellow. They are small and grow in bunches on the tree. Each bunch has the most male flowers. Fruits ripen up to five months. They are quite large, have a smooth surface and smell very good.
