Isononyl isononoate is an ester of pelargonic fatty acid, which occurs naturally in plant and animal organisms. It received its other name - isononane - due to the fact that it consists of 9 carbon atoms, while being saturated, and therefore stable to oxidation.
Isononyl isononoate contains essential oils of lavender, geranium, Japanese wax.. br .As a synthetic emollient, isononyl isononoate creates a light, velvety feel on the skin, is highly spreadable and absorbent, and can visibly smooth the skin, which is especially important for daytime formulas.
Non-comedogenic, suitable for all skin types.
Application:
- lotions, creams, fluids for the face, eyelids, periorbital area with a smoothing effect; for a moderate effect 2% is enough;
- emollient with high spreadability as part of the cascade formula of the fatty phase of any emulsion;
- decorative and sun-protective cosmetics;
- as a conditioning, laminating additive in conditioners, balms and hair oils; goes well with silicones;
- dry tanning oils.
A safe dosage is 1-5%, but if well tolerated, it can be increased to 10-30%.
Injected together with the components of the fatty phase, can withstand heat.
Store in a dark place, at room temperature.
