Areas of application: care and decorative cosmetics, soap making from scratch, perfumery, preparation of oil extracts.

Caprylic-capric triglycerides are the lightest fraction of coconut oil, which in its native form makes up about 10% of the total fatty acid composition of coconut oil.
Caprylic triglycerides are a natural and safe skin softener, the gold standard among emollients. It is quickly absorbed, does not leave behind a feeling of stickiness or greasy film, and reduces transepidermal water loss. Suitable for any skin type.
An important advantage of fractionated coconut oil is its high stability against oxidation. This oil can be stored for up to 12 years under optimal conditions.
This component has a very wide scope of application:
- in the composition of oils for the face, body, hair, for massage compositions as a base carrier oil (dry oil);

- as a carrier for essential oils and oil-based perfume compositions (solid perfumes, oil perfumes);

- as an emollient with medium spreadability in the composition of emulsions (cream, milk, lotion, mousse, etc.) and pseudo-emulsions (serums, gels);

- as a substitute for silicones in hair care products, to lighten other oil-based products in hair cosmetics;

- as a fatty base for dispersing pigments, UV filters, both physical (titanium dioxide, micronized zinc oxide) and chemical; for diluting viscous substances - fat-soluble vitamins, CO2 extracts.

- for the preparation of macerates, infusions (infusion oils);

- in soap from scratch as one of the recipe components*, as well as for dispersing pigments, microbes, and plant powders.
* It makes sense to introduce this fractional coconut oil into soap from scratch in a small amount, up to 20%, since with a decrease in the length of the chain of the fatty acid residue, the washing properties of the soap weaken (the ability of the surfactant to form micelles decreases).
The capric fatty acid in fractionated coconut oil triglycerides also has some antimicrobial activity.
