Dimethicone 350St

Dimethicone 350St (polydimethylsiloxane), used in cosmetics as a component that improves the structure of the finished product and the compatibility of ingredients with each other.

Appearance: transparent, oily, colorless liquid (at 25 0C), with a subtle odor or no odor at all.

Density (25 0C) – 0.973 g/cm3

Properties of dimethicone 350St in cosmetics:

Dimethicone, being a component of cosmetic products, creates a protective film on the surface of the skin that saves from sudden changes in temperature, frost and chilly wind. Has the ability to even out skin texture. Can be used in skin care cosmetics for all skin types, including very dry and sensitive skin. Dimethicone does not allow moisture to evaporate and retains it, which creates an excellent moisturizing effect.

It is used in decorative cosmetics, creating uniform application, smooth glide and light shine.

Polydimethylsiloxane is also popular in hair products. Acts as a conditioning component in leave-in balms and rinses. Protects hair from damage, makes it manageable, silky, soft and shiny.
