Surfactant from Babassu oil (Resassol AGB)

The surfactant made from babassu oil is highly valued by cosmetics manufacturers for a number of beneficial properties. This amphoteric surfactant combines perfectly with other surfactants and has a very gentle cleansing effect on all types of skin and hair. As a component of the bath line, it is responsible for the formation of lush, stable foam.

Appearance: liquid from pale yellow to yellow in color and viscous consistency, with a recognizable but faint odor
pH: 6.07 (for 10% solution)
Solubility: easily dissolves in aqueous media, and in quite significant concentrations, but is completely insoluble in oils
Compatibility: well compatible with other surfactants (anionic, nonionic and cationic)
Origin: synthesized derivative of babassu oil fatty acids
Features: when the temperature drops, small whitish flakes can form in this surfactant, which disappear when heated. This does not cause any damage to its beneficial properties.

Cosmetic properties:
The component obtained from babassu oil, which is essentially a surfactant, has a softening effect. Among its properties:
- Improving the quality and durability of foam;
- Conditioning effect (makes hair more manageable and soft);
- Softening effect on the skin (helps prevent irritation from other surfactants);
- Increasing the thickness and viscosity of the product;
- Environmentally friendly.

Application:
Used as a co-surfactant to improve the foaming properties of a cosmetic mixture:
- Liquid cleansers – foams, gels, shampoos;
- Bath foams;
- Hair conditioning lotions;
0 Detergents for children's skin, including up to one year.
In the mono version it can be used in cleansing lotions (in doses not exceeding 2-3%).

Percentage of input into cosmetics:

- in oral hygiene products 1-3%;
- in makeup removers and facial cleansing lotions 3-6%;
- in shower gels and shampoos 3-10%;
- as a component that improves the viscosity of a cosmetic product, 0.5-9%;
- in household chemicals 5-15%.

Precautions: Avoid contact of this surfactant with the eyes. If this happens, you should rinse them thoroughly with running cool water for a long time.
