Sodium Coco Sulfate
Sodium coco sulfate (SODIUM COCO SULFATE) is a surfactant obtained from coconut oil. It is a natural alternative to sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) as it is less drying and irritating to the skin.
Sodium cocosulfate is especially popular in the manufacture of natural shampoos due to its significant cosmetic properties:
-very high foaming;
- spreads easily throughout the entire volume of hair;
- washes off well;
- hair becomes lighter;
- less drying and irritating to the skin, unlike sodium lauryl sulfate;
-allows you to create shampoos with the addition of vegetable oils, both liquid and solid, without reducing foaming;
-Suitable for all hair types.
High foaming properties allow you to create effective cleansers. The component is very easy to use and is suitable for use by beginners.
Cosmetic use: 10-90%
- solid shampoo - 20-80%;
- shower tiles - 20-50%;
- toothpastes, shower powders - 2-5%;
- surfactants for liquid foam detergents - 5-90%.
Precautionary measures: in case of contact with eyes, rinse them thoroughly and for a long time with clean, cool water.
A simple recipe for solid shampoo:
- Sodium coco sulfate - 80%
- Base oil: liquid or solid - 10%
- Water-10%
The component is used according to the following scheme: the component is heated in a water bath, adding 10% water to it. Before heating, it is better to crush sodium coco sulfate in a mortar, since it melts quite poorly. Continuously stirring, bring the mixture to the consistency of a thick mass, after which assets, essential oils and extracts are added to it. After this, pour the mixture into the mold and place it in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes. Take out the shampoo and let it dry completely for two days.
