Anisyl acetate
Anisyl acetate (4-methoxy benzyl alcohol acetate) is a compound of the ester class.
Anisyl acetate acts in perfumery as a middle note, which is an important component in a perfume composition.
Anisyl acetate is a clear or light yellow liquid, soluble in ethanol; insoluble in water, propylene glycol and glycerin.
Main substance content: 99.6%. Acidity: 0.10 mgKOH/g.
Anisyl acetate aroma: floral, balsamic, sweetish, powdery, vanilla, fruity.
Anisyl acetate is naturally found in some berries. It is obtained artificially in the esterification reaction of anise alcohol and acetic acid, and is used in cosmetics as components of perfume compositions.
