Description:
Olivem ® 1000 is a patented natural plant emulsifier from new generation olive oil, which is a complex combination of fatty acids chemically similar to the lipid composition of the skin. This is a unique structure endowed with the ability to restore and maintain the integrity of the skin barrier. This is a hypoallergenic and completely safe component. Very stable and resistant to delamination. Olivem®1000™, helps the skin, thanks to its reorganization, prevents signs of aging, gives tone and elasticity to the skin.
With Olivem ® 1000, cosmetic products are incredibly convenient and comfortable to apply to the skin.
The advantages of this emulsifier are based on its natural origin, its chemical compatibility, its “physiological affinity” with the skin, and its ability to create liquid crystalline emulsions. Liquid crystals imitate the matrix structure of intercellular lipids of the skin, alternating molecules of fat and water, thereby integrating into the lipid barrier of the skin and strengthening it.
Thanks to its special structure, Olivem 1000 forms a stable emulsion, and its dermatological compatibility makes it a key element in the development of recipes for sensitive and problematic skin. In sunscreen compositions Olivem ® 1000 moisturizes, prevents pigmentation, and has optimal SPF protection.
Actively included in makeup remover formulations, due to its hypoallergenicity, it softens the aggressive effect of surfactants.
Recommended concentration:
- in creams, oil/water of high viscosity is 3-5%;
- in lotions, low viscosity oil/water 1.5% - 3%.
- for lotions: 1.5-3%
- for creams: 3-5%
- for cosmetic milk: 2 - 3%.
Application:
To obtain an emulsion, the fatty and aqueous phases are separately heated to 70 °C, then actively mixed with a mixer for 5 minutes. In the fatty phase, the emulsifier is heated until completely melted, after which the emulsion is directly prepared. The final consistency is formed within a day; it becomes 20% denser than it was immediately after production. In the case of slow mixing, an emulsion with a lower viscosity will be formed, a lamellar structure will be obtained; in the case of rapid mixing, the structure will be less consistent, but still stable.
