Glycerol monostearate is a mixture of monoesters of fatty acids and glycerol, mainly stearic and palmitic acids. Monoglyceride content 40%. Not a classic emulsifier. Forms stable emulsions in the presence of additional surfactants (anionic and nonionic). Using this emulsifier you can create oil/water, water/oil emulsions. Mono- or diglycerides of dietary fatty acids, due to their complete physiological harmlessness, are used as emulsifiers in food products, as well as in pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. The emulsifier glycerin monostearate is well suited for creating creams with a pleasant light texture. With its help, you can create a creamy emulsion that retains active substances and vitamins well. Glycerol monostearate is a good choice for creating a base cream, body or face milk, and serum.
