Aristoflex AVC
INCI: Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer
Appearance: white powder
Solubility: water soluble
Dosage: 0.5-2%
Compatibility: good with organic solvents (ethanol, acetone)
Storage: in a dry, dark place, in closed packaging, hygroscopic
Country: Switzerland This synthetic polymer can be used as a gelling agent for aqueous systems (hair gel) and as a thickener for oil-in-water emulsions (milk, cream, cream-gel).
Emulsions with Aristoflex have good rheological and sensory properties, can be produced at low pH values (from 4) and remain stable even without additional introduction of emulsifiers. The cream with this thickener is well absorbed, creates a feeling of soft, fresh and silky skin, does not give an oily sheen or a “sticky” feeling to the skin after application.
One of the possible uses of Aristoflex is the stabilization of water-insoluble liquids (here, oils) without inclusion of an additional emulsifier in the formulation
Aristoflex can be used for the production of oil-in-water emulsions using both hot and cold methods
In the preparation of hair gels (water gels) water is introduced into Aristoflex and mixed gently but thoroughly. As a rule, when 1% or larger quantities of Aristoflex are introduced, the gels are transparent.
Aristoflex has good compatibility with organic solvents, which allows, along with aqueous ones, to produce transparent hydroalcoholic gels with an ethanol content of more than 50%. Typically, a water-alcohol mixture is added to Aristoflex. You can, however, first prepare an aqueous gel and then add an alcohol solution of the active ingredients into it, for example, with a hair styling fixative. Cosmetic properties Aristoflex makes the structure of any cream light, allowing it to be easily distributed over the skin. Improves the absorption of emulsions and tactile sensations from use. In cosmetics it produces the following effects: - ensures smooth and silky skin;
- tightens the skin;
- helps retain bioactive substances on the surface of the skin;
- retains moisture in the skin;
- increases the viscosity of creams;
- forms a protective film;
- conditions hair and skin. Can be used as the only emulsifier when creating milk and other liquid emulsions. Scope of application A very wide scope of application is due to the absence of side effects and allergic reactions. - creams and milk for the body and face;
- gels for the face and area around the eyes;
- cleansing gels;
- masks, hair conditioners;
- gel deodorants;< br /> - sprays;
- light day creams;
- aftershave gels;
- sunscreens;
- makeup remover lotions;
- decorative cosmetics for gel base. Mode of application Aristoflex works in a wide pH range from 4 to 9 and is soluble in water. Inject into the aqueous or fatty phase at any temperature (up to 80? C) with very vigorous stirring. With Aristoflex it is very easy to make a gel solution, just dilute the component with water, shake well and add the necessary actives and fragrances. The component also allows you to create emulsions with a high ethanol content (more than 50%), while a mixture of alcohol and water is introduced into Arisoflex, and not vice versa. For an emulsion with a 15% fatty phase, an Aristoflex concentration of 1% is sufficient. Large dosages are acceptable. Recommended dosage of use: 0.5-2%. Basically, 1% is enough to keep the life cycle at 16%. With the cold method for LF 10 and 20%, without additional emulsifiers, 0.7-1.3% is sufficient (if you need a very dense cream, a maximum of 1.5%).
Conditions of use: entered as in ZhF and in VF, the emulsion can be prepared in a cold or hot (up to 80 C) way. Does not require neutralization. This emulsifier is a real salvation, if the emulsion is not thick enough, you just need to add a little at the end. In addition, there is no feeling of stickiness on the skin or rolling. Attention! When introduced into emulsions with a pH of 9 or higher, the component forms ammonia, therefore it is necessary to control the acidity of the product at all stages of production.
