Sodium tetraborate 5-aq. (borax)
Sodium tetraborate (borate, borax) is a powder in the form of crystals, highly soluble in water. Sodium borate has antibacterial, antifungal, antiseptic properties, and is used in the chemical industry and cosmetology. It is a component of detergents, washing powders, and teeth whitening products.

Percentage of input into cosmetics:

creams, lotions, gels, shampoos – no more than 5%
skin whitening – up to 20%
emulsifying additives – up to 5%
softening of rough areas of epidermal cells – up to 2.5%
Dissolves in water at 20 degrees, also soluble in glycerin and oil.
